Sept. 27 Session Seeks Input on Proposed Route Changes – StarMetro will be seeking public input and feedback at another “listening session” later this week. Citizens will have the opportunity to provide StarMetro officials with comments regarding proposed revisions to several routes, including two serving Florida A & M University, two serving Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College, and two serving Governors Square and nearby office complexes. Proposed revisions include both time changes to be consistent with other system routes, and several revisions to streets served.

A Community Listening Session will take place Thursday, Sept. 27, 5:30-7 p.m., at the Leon County Veterans’ Services office, 918 Railroad Avenue. Participants may discuss the proposed route changes with StarMetro staff, as well as offer suggestions on transit services in general.

Though participants may discuss any aspect of StarMetro and mass transit services in general, this Thursday’s session will concentrate on proposed changes to the following routes:

  • 5 – Florida A & M University, Gaither Park and Sherwood Park
  • 11 – Florida A & M University, the Veterans’ Services office and the Providence neighborhood
  • 20 – Alumni Village and Liberty Park
  • 23 & 24 – FSU, TCC and Leon County Public Health Department
  • 25 & 26 – Governors Square and adjacent eastside office complexes
  • 30 – Tallahassee Mall and Northwood Centre

The route changes have been proposed to increase the efficiency of service for passengers.
